The majority of today's excavators are full-hydraulic full-slewing excavators. Large Hydraulic Excavator for Mining is mainly composed of engine, hydraulic system, working device, traveling device and electrical control. The hydraulic system consists of a hydraulic pump, a control valve, a hydraulic cylinder, a hydraulic motor, a pipeline, and a fuel tank. The electrical control system includes a monitoring panel, an engine control system, a pump control system, various sensors, and solenoid valves.

Large Hydraulic Excavator for Mining

Hydraulic excavator generally consists of three parts: working device, upper body and lower body. According to its structure and application, it can be divided into: crawler type, tire type, walking type, full hydraulic, semi-hydraulic, full swing, non-full swing, general type, special type, articulated type, telescopic arm type and other types.

White smoke, blue smoke, and black smoke are common faults of excavators. Here is a simple investigation on the specific causes of the three smoke colors.

White smoke

1. Most of the white smoke is caused by water in the cylinder. Please check whether there is water in the diesel. Generally, the white smoke time is very short after starting, and there is no problem with the engine.

2. If the excavator starts emitting white smoke, the oil does not decrease, and the excavator does not work well, indicating that the engine cylinder mattress is damaged;

3. Poor atomization of the fuel injector and low cylinder pressure are also one of the reasons for the engine emitting white smoke. Check the fuel injector.

Blue smoke

Blue smoke is emitted when a cold car starts: It is normal for a cold car to emit blue smoke and disappear after a hot car, because of a small part of the oil will invade the engine combustion chamber after stopping.

Continuous blue smoke after startup:

1. The diesel filter is clogged, check whether the oil type is correct;

2. Engine piston rings and valve oil seals are worn, resulting in organic oil in the intake or exhaust pipe, which causes the blue smoke failure of the excavator

3. The large clearance between the piston and the cylinder liner causes blue smoke;

4. engine oil mixed with diesel, blue smoke is a major feature of engine oil burning.

As an Excavator for Mining Manufacturer, share with you how to deal with black smoke.

Black smoke is an external manifestation of insufficient combustion of fuel in the cylinder. There are three areas to start with:

1. Insufficient air intake: Check whether the intake valve clearance is within a reasonable range. If the valve clearances are not equal, the intake air pressure and volume will not be enough; whether the air filter is blocked. The supercharger is damaged, resulting in insufficient intake pressure;

2. The quality of diesel is not good, and the diesel pump and injector are worn out;

3. Injector wear: Excessive fuel injection leads to insufficient combustion. You need to ask the service personnel to perform an engine brake test to check whether it is caused by the wear of the injector. In case of smoke from the excavator, you can perform a simple investigation and treatment according to the above, and contact a professional to handle it.
